Reviving the Light is based in the year one thousand years from the real life present date.
In the year 3000 the Power Rangers Time Force were able to stop the last universal evils and bring true utopian peace to Earth and most of the known universe. Life was good and the historical legacy of the Power Rangers teams of the past and present had become an indelible story of hope, heroism and Light for the people of the universe.
Until the Darkness returned…
3018, Time Force Rangers detected a fundamental shift in the universe as a fearsome evil, so powerful and malevolent that it’s like had never been seen before.
This evil could not be quantified with so little data to go off however some facts were soon made clear. This Evil, This Darkness, This Malevolence existed somewhere beyond the known reaches of the universe in a place quickly dubbed The Void and its power was indeed forcing its way into our known dimensional plane from every corner of existence. It’s first act was one that would be felt across all creation as it systematically began to bring back all the evil villains of the past back to life. The likes of Lord Zedd, The Machine Empire, Divatox, Dark Spectre, Scorpius, Queen Bansheera, Lothor, Mesagog, Emperor Gruumm, Dai Shi, and Master Xandred one by one returned with their numerous forces of destruction and instantly began causing havoc and mayhem in a bid to overwhelm the now weakened light and their single team of champions in the Time Force. Territories across the Earth and the Universe on whole began to once again fall under the control of the Dark Lords and their minions and now back to their old tricks all seemed lost as the Time Force Rangers were systematically pushed back till only Earth itself was relatively protected .
Realizing that one team of Rangers would not be enough to stop the hordes of evil rising up to shadow the universe the Time Force Rangers sought a way to bolster their ranks. Through trial, testing and perhaps even a touch of otherworldly help they soon managed to tap into the Morphin Grid and using their time traveling powers managed to revive many of the past Ranger powers and relink them to the physical plane. Across the Earth the New Power Rangers utilizing the powers of the past have risen to fight back against the darkness and together seek to revive the light once more so that the future of Earth and the Universe can find peace once more. This however is not to be an easy path and many questions still remain unanswered…
