Powers: Tricera skin: Due to the Blue Dino Gem, Ethan has the power to make his skin impenetrable and as hard as rock, similar to the scales of a Triceratops. His skin turns scale-like and goes blue when he uses this power.
Personality: Shuri is by definition a Free spirited mad Genius. She is all about seeing problems from every possible angle before trying to solve them in the most inventive way possible. While most of her science minded family went and chose to use their gifts at either Space Patrol Delta or Time Force, Shuri decided to remain a free agent because she always felt like she had a bigger calling then just working in some lab.
When not working on a new invention or a way to help the Dino Thunder rangers which she is apart of Shuri can often be found hanging out in Hayley's Cyber Cafe much like the original Blue Dino Thunder Ranger Ethan James who is her ancestor. She loves Mexican and seafood especially sushi,playing video games and painting to express her creative side when she's not inventing. There are ways to make the friendly mad scientist well..Mad! She hates bullies,ignorant and purposely dumb people with a passion. She also hates to share her food and will try and bite you if you try and pick from her plate.
A few nasty habits she has such as accidently stealing pens by sticking them in her hair, working on her inventions at the dinner table or spacing out during conversations because she gets lost in thought.
History: Shuri was born in the year 3000 to two scientists who worked for Space Patrol Delta named Sasha and Carlton James in Newtech City which was where Space Patrol Delta is located. As Shuri grew up her parents tried to teach her to think logically all the time and try to stick to the rules but it quickly became clear that despite the young girl having her parents keen genius mind they did not share their by the books attitude. Some of her first inventions were things she had cobbled together by disassembling the high tech house hold appliances and turning them into something new.
As Shuri grew into her early teen years it was clear that she was going to graduate early and so her parents tried to convince her to apply for the Space Patrol Delta academy knowing that she would excel there. The young girl declined however saying that even though she didn't know why she thought she should belong to something bigger. That's why when Shuri graduated early at the age of 16 her parents told her the stories of her heroic ancestor Ethan James the Blue Dino Thunder Ranger and tech genius.
In complete aw of her legacy, Shuri spent the next two years training in martial arts with an electronic dummy until she turned 18. On her 18th birthday her parents approached her with only one small present box containing a beautiful blue gem which she recognized from the stories her parents told her as the blue Dino gem. When she picked it up it quickly bonded with her giving her the ability of impenetrable skin. In the bottom of the box was a deed to a home in Reefside her parents had kept in the family under Time Force's instructions and a small note with an address that lead Shuri to an old home on the outskirts of the town and the Dino Thunder HQ underneith where she met the Blonde Black Dino Thunder Ranger Naomi Oliver and was presented with the Blue Dino Thunder Morpher. This is the "Greater" she had waited her life for. She was the new blue Dino Thunder Ranger.
