This was the big one! Time Force and the Power Chamber detected something that had never happened before! Three of the universes worst despots had teamed up for the first time to finally conquor the world or destroy it trying! The three evil beings knew one thing to be true, if all of those pesky rangers were working together on a single task they were near unstoppable! To try and get rid of this problem Lord Zedd, King Mondo and Mesagog decided to split their efforts to try and split their foes forces and keep them scrambling!
Lord Zedd used his mighty dark powers to pull three massive asteroids toward the planet Earth that would either destroy the planet or plunge it into a new ice age killing off the pesky human population while Mesagog and King Mondo decided to pool their forces for a combined strike. King Mondo sent a massive robot carrying a gamma radiation bomb to destroy Angel Grove as well as a hoard of cogs while Mesagog sent hoards of Tyrandrones to ravage the city. Their goal being to mutate and conquor the city so that the age of humans would be over! Either the world would be destroyed or humanity would meet it's end! Why would three evil factions who hated one another work together you may be asking? It's quite simple! The source of all darkness in all universes ordered them too! Interus the one who had revived all of the evil factions ordered them to work together or meet their end for two large reasons! Interus wanted to wipe out his pure light twin sister Valoria's forces and plunge the Multi-verse into ever lasting darkness!
Unfortunately for Inturus and his underlings the forces of light had a plan! The head of Time Force's Project Rebirth Nicolas Oliver had raised his twin children Cole and Chloe their entire lives for this moment. He had raised Cole to be the strategic general of the new generation of Power Rangers and Chloe to be the guiding voice of love and reason. Nicholas summoned his son to the Power Chamber and instructed him that it indeed was time to make the call.
Cole using his knowledge of the ranger teams of the past put out a call to every existing ranger on the planet to come together in order to do what they were destined for. To come together to save the planet Earth. Luckily the call was answered and then some. Every single existing ranger team answered that Call! Mighty Morphin,Zeo, Dino Thunder,Space and even teams that only had one member like the Galaxy,Samurai and R.P.M teams! Once they were all together Cole delivered the plan.
The Mighty Morphin and Space teams along with the Golden Zeo Ranger in Pyramidas would head into space to hold back the asteroids while the Dino Thunder rangers in the Thundersaurus megazord and Triceramax megazord, the red Zeo ranger in the red battle zord and the Green Mighty Morphin ranger in the Dragon zord Battle mode were sent to hold off the Gamma bomb carrying robot attacking the city. The red R.P.M,Galaxy and Samurai rangers were in charge of destroying the foot soldiers and leading civilians to safety.
Once the jobs were given out and the teams went to work it soon became clear that they were indeed fighting a losing battle. Not only were the space capable zords not strong enough to completely divert the asteroids but even if the ground zord team was able to weaken the Gamma robot they couldn't fully destroy it without blowing the city up in the process. To make matters worse the Gamma robot's opening strike managed to break apart the Triceramax megazord killing the red Dino Thunder ranger in the process. Luckily the black Dino Thunder ranger Naomi Oliver was able to retrieve the Red Dino Gem so it wouldn't fall into enemy hands but they were still down a megazord.
As Nicholas Oliver watched the rangers he cared for including his family struggle he came up with a risky plan. He ordered the ground zord team to weaken the robot just enough that it's shields would drop so someone could get inside and fly it into the asteroids destroying them. There were only two problems with the plan. Problem one was who ever took control of the gamma robot would be sacrificing themselves to save the planet. Problem two was the remains of the asteroids and the gamma radiation runoff from the explosion and sadly Nicholas only had the answer for problem one.
Once the Gamma Robot was weakened he dawned a radiation suit and teleported inside and flew the robot up into space where he then activated the bombs self destruct. Right before his death he bid farewell to both the rangers at large and to the family he loved as he sacrificed his life for the planet Earth. Before the rangers and the Oliver family could mourn their losses however they had to deal with problem two but luckily the combined genius of the Red Space and R.P.M rangers had that covered. They had the Power Chamber and the gold Zeo Ranger's ship Pyramidas combine their energies to create a massive planet wide barrier to both deflect the asteroid remnents as well as absorb the gamma radiation.
Once the battle was won and the rangers regrouped a strange yet beautiful being appeared before them. This being was Valoria the source of all light in the Multi-verse. She appeared before the rangers and used her power to vanquish the remaining foot soldiers. She then addressed the rangers and explained the struggle between herself and her brother Interus the embodiment of all darkness. She also explained how she created the morphing grid as a way to try and keep a balance between light and darkness. Before disappearing she granted the Oliver family a gift for their patriarch's sacrifice of a statue of Nicolas Oliver in the pose of the human sculpture "The Thinker" atop the Power Chamber which would prevent Interus from directly entering it. As she left she gave the new generation of rangers a grave warning. This was only a small taste of the powers of darkness and it was only the beginning.
