Personality: Nicholas Oliver is one of those rare individuals that seems to be secretly 10 steps ahead of everyone he meets. He is where Cole got his natural smarts and love for history and legends. When at work Nicholas Oliver is all buisness even if his "radical" son,beautiful daughter and Loving wife come to visit him. Due to the nature of his job and the many secret identities he has to keep including his twins as power rangers Nicholas has become a master at the "Poker face" and keeping things close to the chest even from his wife when it comes to Project Rebirth.
When at home in Angel Grove however when the suit comes off Nicholas becomes Nick the loving compassionate husband and supportive father to his two children who are truly his pride and joy. He considers his children his true legacy not the Legacy of his ranger Ancestors. Sometimes he wishes that his children didn't inhearate the spirits of Tommy and Kimberly Oliver though. Not because he doesn't want them to accomplish great things but because he just wants them to come home safe every day and have peaceful normal lives.
Nicholas wasn't always a kind hearted man who wanted the best for others or the world. He used to be a crocodile of a man who used his stand offish attitude and thick emotional skin to manipulate others for his own ends so that he could get everything he wanted out of life. That was until two very important things happened in his life. He discovered that he was related to two of the most famous Power Rangers in history and he met and fell in love with the then 25 year old Naomi.
This isn't to say that his darker tendencies don't crop up every once in awhile. This is evident in how he shaped his two children from basically from the moment they were born into being the two people worthy of being the successors to their ancestor's ranger legacies.
History: From the moment that Nicholas Oliver was born in 2973 and could walk and talk he had quite the convincing silver tough. Be it convincing someone to give up their animal crackers during snack time in exchange for extra crayons during art time or being first in line for the jungle Gym in exchange for the best ball on the playground, the young man always knew how to pull the right strings to get what he wanted from others and even when he didn't have the right leverage it didn't take him long to get it no matter the methods he used to do so. As long as he got what he wanted it was worth it.
As Nicholas went through his various school grades he studied hard while at the same time making sure to have his hands in every form of level of influence he could be it through deal making or black mail. By the time the young man had reached the age of 25 these skills along with his charisma had gotten him Noticed by the top Agents of the Time Force who approached Nicholas fresh out of college and while at first he thought he was in trouble it was quite the opposite. They had decided to reveal to him the Oliver families biggest secret which was that of their Ranger Legacy. They did this in order to hopefully to get the master manipulator on the straight and narrow so that he wouldn't use his charisma and deal making for evil and for the most part it worked.
Using his knowledge of the Oliver family Legacy in the Power Rangers Nicholas quickly got a job at the Time Force agency and using his charisma quickly rose through the ranks where he was able to request where he wanted to be stationed when not working at the agency. Wanting to be close to Thomas and Kimberly Oliver's home town he requested a home in Angel Grove instead of Silver hills once he turned 28. That was when he met the young woman that would change his life forever.
On one of Nicholas's days off he decided to stop in to Earnie's Diner and Youth Center where he met the most beautiful woman he had ever seen. He met the freshly graduated Naomi Winston working as a waitress at Earnie's Diner and Youth Center. The two instantly fell for one another despite the age gap and by the time Nicholas was 29 and Naomi was 19 they were expecting what they found themselves not just expecting one child but twins! Naomi always one for physical activity over driving she decided to walk to one of her nearby sonagram appointments even though her term was almost up at 8 and a half months. It was during a walk across a cross walk that a car quickly began to speed toward them. Not wanting his wife or unborn children to be hurt Nicholas quickly grabbed hold of his wife and moved her out of the way as gently as he could. as a result however his left foot got slammed by the car forever hobbling him giving him the need for a cane.
As soon as both of his twins were born and it was time to name them, Nicholas said he didn't really care what they were named except he wanted his boy's first or middle name to be Thomas. He didn't tell his wife the reason but it was because of the fact that the most legendary ranger of all Time Tommy Oliver's real first name was Thomas. From the moment both his children could walk and talk Nicholas began to show them videos and tell them stories of the legendary Power Rangers. While this simply got his beautiful daughter into comic books it light a spark inside of his son Cole that quite interested Nicholas. He saw that from the moment he learned about the Power Rangers he started taking martial arts classes while Chloe took Gymnastics.
Right before the children's 11th birthday through his hard work,scheming and connection to the Oliver Legacy Nicholas was promoted to one of the five heads of Time Force and because of this he was given access to a very special laptop which contained all of the cataloged information on all of the Power rangers in history as well as the privilege in knowing that a dark force was planning something universe changing and that Time force was just a few short years away from activating "Project Rebirth" which would revive all of the destroyed or disabled ranger powers of the past and find new candidates for them as well as passing on the existing ranger powers. This gave Nicholas quite the scheming idea.
On Cole and Chloe's 11th birthday while his wife Naomi who he had married about a decade previously gifted Cole a new hat and the skateboard he had been begging her for Nicholas gave his son the laptop containing all of the info on ranger history. Knowing his son would obsess over it Nicholas just decided to instill the ranger value's in both of his children over the next few years while keeping it a secret from his wife what he was doing for fear she wouldn't approve and because it wasn't his right to tell her.
After a few incidents when both children turned 16 it had become evident that they had inherited the Ninjetti spirits of their ancestors Tommy and Kimberly of the Falcon and the Crane. That's when Nicholas let both of his beautiful and unique children in on the Oliver families biggest secret and put them through the biggest test of their lives which he was happy to say they both passed with flying colors making them the new Mighty Morphin White and Pink Power Rangers. Feeling proud of his two children he decided to help them along their growth by making them two heads of Project Rebirth so that they could experience all of the different styles of ranger and individual first hand. He had put a lot of work into his children as both a father and as a Time Force head but he had faith that no matter what the forces of darkness put in the Oliver families path they would succeed.
