Personality: Anna is a team player and something of a people person, more from her time away from her family than through any kind of training given before assuming the Ranger powers, knowing that no one ranger can do everything needed (even if she is the only current Samurai Ranger). Her time working in a bar has given her a degree of empathy from her training and spending shifts listening to patrons troubles so she likes to lend an understanding ear to anyone who appears to be troubled by something. When she is off-duty she tends to spend her time on her motorbike, always in contact with home and never without her Samuraizer.
Anna is fairly serious when on-duty, with a strong understanding of her personal responsibilities as a member of her clan and as a Ranger. After spending 20 years denying what being a member of the Shiba Clan would mean she has accepted that in the current times there may be a need for more Samurai Rangers. When she is off-duty she tends to spend her time on her motorbike, always in contact with home and never without her Samuraizer. Anna knows that she is less trained than probably any other Red Samurai ranger in the last 1,000 years but has thrown herself into training for a time when her powers are needed.
History: Anna was born into the Shiba Clan, the second born of the current family. Her older brother Reece was trained to be the Red Ranger in the eventuality of Nylocks returning and (apart from training with Reece as a child) Anna took the opportunity that being the second-born brought to leave home and find a life away from the Clan.
Anna attended college and wound up working in a bar in Angel Grove, eventually becoming co-owner of the bar. She kept in pretty regular contact with her brother until she was contacted by her parents and told that her brother had died in an accident. Anna needed to return as she was the older child of the clan.
Anna was devastated by her loss but, after some consideration (and an angry outburst which resulted in a hole in a wall and bloodied knuckles) she realized that she had only one real choice. She explained what she could to her girlfriend and staff and rode back to Panorama City. After a crash course, she spent the next six months getting prepared for the worst.
