Ladies, Gentlemen and Everyone Between and Beyond!
It is my proud pleasure to state that as of today, September 18, 2019, Reviving the Light: A Power Rangers RPG is officially RE-OPENED! We have worked long and hard for the past month in preparation for this and we hope that you will all rejoin us and continue the stories of the Power Rangers in the year 3019AD where the forces of evil have risen up once again and a new lineage of Rangers have been called upon to protect the universe!
As of now we will be opening the site with a New Plot which you will find in the Welcome to the Legacy section of the Board. Some of you are already aware of the plot idea from my partner Jazzy’s sneak peek but you will be required to read it in its entirety to proceed forward.
I will note here that for all Returning Players who wish to pick up their characters once again we are, for the first plot, only allowing 1 Ranger per player. The Rangers you pick will become the core members to comprise a new amalgam team known as Power Rangers Light Force!
Now this is not to say that your other characters (if you have multiple) will be scrapped for we fully intend to reintegrate all characters back in over the course of the first plot and afterwards. We ask that you choose 1 character because as we are starting out in a sense rather newly we wish to have a core team in which all players will have a chance to Roleplay with one another. In the past having too many teams active and open at once did not allow for players to easily thread with one another, especially when those teams were scattered across the world (primarily the USA in different cities) and so by pulling back and creating this new team every player will be able to have a chance to thread with each other.
Where it concerns New Players we will integrate your choice of character, be they Rangers, Monsters or Civilians, into the new plot as you join. Your best bet is to contact one of the Admin Staff: Nova, Jazzy, Green or Mary, to work with you in creating your character so that they can seamlessly be added in as we go. We expect that Light Force will be a rather large team by the mid to end of the first major plot but we will do our best to accommodate everyone!
There have also been some changes to the Rules and so we ask that all returning players read through them to refresh/brush up on what is and is not ok to play on this board. The changes are not huge but it is always good to be in the know with these things for ignorance of the rules is not a valid excuse if they are broken.
Concerning old threads, they will be allowed to continue with the understanding that at this point they take place in the past, Pre-Dark Universe Plot. That said you cannot use them to influence the new plot or give yourselves and advantage thus they are historical but not significant. We would like people to focus on the new plot and the new stories so posts in the threads taking place before the reopening will NOT count towards the bi-monthly activity check.
With all that said we want you to be a part of our universe in a significant and lasting way so we ask that you come to us with your ideas for characters, stories and the future of the board as a whole. We want your input for this is our shared world, our game, all of ours and together we will build it and see it grow.
