It appears to be the item used to summon their various weapons such as the Jungle Chucks in Zack's case. It can also charge up with electricity and creates a powerful punch. For Zack in particular he is able to increase this force and recharging speed considerably with his natural born abilities gained from his parents DNA.

It solidifies into a zord and forms the torso, head and arms of the Jungle Pride Megazord. The Red Ranger summons his Jungle Beast by saying "Call to the beast inside! Free the Tiger!" It also has the ability to pounce on and crush the opposition with tiger strength attack. While recently awakening the tiger spirit Zack has developed a strong bond and fondness to it. Playfully awakening him both off and on the battlefield.

- Lightning: Zachary has inherited his father's lightning magic to a degree. It has since evolved into an ability more akin to his mother's anomaly power in origin since Zack has no idea how he could even be performing such feats. It sort of grants the user with electrokinesis. The ability to create and absorb electricity. It may be a bit unhealthy but the user relies on this power constantly. It comes naturally to him without thought or energy. His powers increase his speed making him one of the fastest rangers known as of now. While his strength is slightly enhanced it would not be considered superhuman levels like the other rangers of his team. To make up for his lack of strength while battling monsters or henchmen the user often sends out a shock with every attack, Using his ability almost as if one was being hit with a taser upon every punch or kick. These electrocurents can have an effect on technology either boosting their range or short circuiting them all together.
- Kung Fu: Without much training Zachary has acquired various martial arts skills most notably the tiger style however he's incorporated parkour and tricking into his fighting style. Often distracting opponents with highflying flips and low tumbles. These actually enable greater mobility to move quickly around the battlefield. Since learning of his destiny as the red jungle fury ranger Zack has been studying the art of Pai Zhua under Master Quinn.

So Zack is one of those outgoing, straight-shooting types. Enthusiastic and excitable, he is a "doer" who lives in the world of action. Blunt, straight-forward risk-taker, are some more of his qualities. He is willing to jump head first right into things and get his hands dirty. He lives in the here-and-now, and places little importance on to much thought or theories. Zack looks at the facts of a situation quickly and never develops a plain that won't involve a straightforward approach. Everything is executed with action, and then he moves on to the next thing. However his thought process has versatile aspects that has a wide range of possibilities. Other people with the same sort of thinking often become inventors, plotters, entertainers and the creative geniuses behind anything ingenious, including mischief. Zack has a natural quick-wittiness which enables him to understand what is happening and then make a right decision. Even during a conversation he is aware of what is going on around him, and then makes a mental note of who said what and stores it away for future reference. In general, with an agile mind and multiple talents, Zack is very versatile. He just lacks the focus to see things through unless the importance out ways this flaw of his.
Zack is reliable and honest, so that any secret is safe in his hands. Zack's also honest in his dealings and very good at problem-solving: knowing how to listen closely and work out solutions at the same time. Rules and laws are seen as optional guidelines for Zack's behavior, rather than a strict need to follow type of thing. If Zack has decided that something needs to be done, then his "do it and get on with it" attitude takes precedence over the rules. However, Zack tends to have his own strong belief in what's right and what's wrong, and will doggedly stick to his principles. Zack calls this his "code." Although he seems very trustworthy and unlikely to hurt someone out of spite, Zack would never let people escape if they have hurt a loved one or did horrible unforgivable things. Zack a strong flair for drama and style. He is fast-moving, fast-talking some would say hyperactive while others debate ADHD. He does have an appreciation for the finer things in life. Easily admiring small things out of the norm, say for example the way a light flickers on or the sound a car makes. Small random things like that will grab his attention and he will become strangely amused by them. This proves to be a disadvantage to Zack as he is already easily distracted enough without this issue. Zack is usually very good at story telling and improvising. With an overactive imagination and strong love of fictional stories himself he gains strong inspiration at a whim. He typically makes things up as he goes along, rather than following a plan.
Zack first and foremost his his love to just have fun in anything he is doing. He loves people who are fun to be around. History:
The two of them bonded right off the bat despite their mission at hand. Chip thought Z was so cool and amazing while Chip's crazy antics and playful attitude caused her to laugh constantly. With the help of both ranger squads working together they defeated this unknown monster despite not really knowing where he came from in the end. While not benefiting in their research into the monster's origin the two rangers still thought they made an impressive team. Z even promised to take Chip on a date in the future. And so thats how it started, falling in love under the stars, fighting monsters and goons ect ect. It wouldn't tale long before the two decided to start a family. After all they both seemed to be good with children and wanted one of their own. Zack was born.
You can speak of destiny and legacy as an invisible force guiding us onto a path we have always meant to be walking on. A cosmic endgame, hopefully one that would leave the universe in a better place then what they were born into. For Zack his story might be a bit different then some of the other rangers on his team. For he was never meant to be the yellow mighty morphin ranger. No that title was meant for another. There was a theme in legacy if you would with this new team of mighty morphin rangers. They seemed to all have ancestors from one of the previous members of the team. Aisha was among the second wave of mighty morphin rangers, Aisha's daughter was chosen as the new yellow ranger She was both smart and physically capable in the role. With her position intact long before Zack would even discover their destinies were intertwined. You see Zack was born in the mystical world. He lived his life surrounded by the magical and amazing creatures living there. Zack was born with his ability to generate electricity, This might have stemmed from either his father's similar magical abilities or his mother's more biological dna. So as such Zack grew up having the time of his life. He often played with mystical creatures. Playing with the more animalistic creatures actually taught him how to fight unexpectedly. A bit like the Mr. Miyagi's training methods in that repetitive movement trains your natural muscle memory. In times of conflict Zack just reacts with his gut instincts.
Perhaps your wondering how a kid like Zack ended up as the yellow ranger as this position was already spoken for? Well Zack actually really wanted to visit to mortal realm as he'd never been there before. So he ran away essentially. He loved his parents and his life in the magical realm but he just wanted to see what it was like on the other side. Curiosity getting the better of him. However when he arrived in the mortal realm there was a ranger fighting a bunch of monsters alone. She was the new yellow ranger. Zack rushed over to try to help her but before he could reach her she had fallen. Demorphed the monster took her. She left her coin and morpher buried under the dirt in which she laid upon, hoping the members from her team would find them. Her telecomunicater was crushed early on and so she faced the hoard of darkness alone. Zack waited until the army left to retrieve her morpher. Mistaken as the new yellow ranger he was one of the ones transported into the protective temple of Ninjor. After explaining who he was and the legacy of his parents he was allowed to aid them in their fight due to his natural abilities. A short while later he discovered to have the spirit of the red jungle fury tiger within him. Despite being so young he was able to become the red ranger by utilizing this power. After all they needed all the rangers they could get.
