In search of the light
Before the sun faced us, the moon stood in it's place. Still the day had begun but many considered the night to still be upon us. Too early for the sleepers and dreamers to wake from their slumber, too early for the birds to chirp and the sky to shift from black to blue. Beneath the vaile of magic, in a realm full of it, closed off from the mortals and hidden within a fog, lies a small child asleep on the ground outside. He'd been gazing upon the stars trying to catch one of the shooting ones for a wish or too. No such luck, for even shooting stars were a special occurrence reserved for only the most difficult wishes. No instead the boy grew lost in thought. He had a hard decision to make. One he would not take lightly. You see as the boy had always wanted to enter the realm of mortals. A place for adventures and possibility, He wanted to face the hardships and grow from the experiences. As his eyes opened clearity struck him. "Today." Today would be the day he ventured into the unknown. He was lucky to have beaten the sun today, for his parents would disapprove. After all would you leave paradise to enter a bleak mundan world?
That was the intention of the boy. His name is Zachary Thorn. Born to two former rangers, forgotten in this new generation for they've left the mortal realm in their infancy. Entering the magical realm and starting a family. Zack was born in a world of wonder yet he longed for an adventure. He's heard the tales of the ones his parents endured. While life was great, while there was nothing to complain about and love was forever present in their household, Zack wanted to experience an adventure of his own. He planed to escape! Well more like runaway for he was never any sort of prisoner. He was allowed to wander off and explore, play all night and sleep outside under the stars. Limits were off except for the rule he was about to break. Never enter the mortal realm. But he had to. He needed to see it for his own eyes. Before he could leave the boy snuck inside his own house. He'd taken a liquid we mortals never tasted. A drink much like soda but the bubbles formed a twister inside his thermos. Toast with jelly made from the moss from the orange moss that grew along their stream. He'd thought to pack a change of clothes but he heard a rumble upstairs where his parent's should have been asleep. "They're awake." He softly whispered to himself in a panic.
With last minute thinking the boy scribbled a note to his parents. Ensuring them he was ok. He rushed out before they had a chance to stop him. When Zack entered our mortal realm the colors seemed to blind him temporarily. "So bright." He mumbled as they began to water slightly adjusting to the light. The layout seemed the same as in the magical realm, but he was still in the woods after all. Hidden in the forest. Zack took in a deep breath and started to move forward, taking the first steps in his new adventure. After about a few hours or so he entered into a small town. Spending a day exploring and playing around he awaited a sign of where to go or what to do. He was enjoying his little vacation for now. But soon the sky turned black and screams cried out. People ran in panic and the air had shifted. What was happening? The question on everyone's mind. Monsters arrived and terrorized those who couldn't run fast enough. There in the distance a hero cried out. Zack ran to her as fast as he could. She was outnumbered and badly injured. The boy tried go to her but the monster's outnumbered them two to a hundred. She de-morphed from overexerting her power, burring her morpher and coin in the ground beneath her before they took her. When the coast was clear Zack rushed over and uncovered the items. His parent's would know what to do.
Before the boy could make a move, a yellow light flashed from the sky. Energy unkown to him, propelled him into the air at rapid speeds. The boy closed his eyes, when he opened them he found he teleported into some weird temple. He wasn't the only one. Immediately he thought it must have been a teleportation spell. He's seen them before but never this great in numbers. A powerful mage must be among them. Maybe his father was to. One boy finally took center stage as he gained a height advantage from the rest of the crowd. Well lets face it everyone had a height advantage here on Zack. Nonetheless the boy spoke about these weird panting's. Ninjor created these power coins his team used... The girl! She used a power coin when she transformed. She must have been his teammate, Zack took out her coin and tried to maneuver his way across the crowd. He stopped as he seen him embrace his friends. He stood there frozen, how could he tell them their friend, their team mate was hulled away half dead, that she was being held captive by grsume monsters. He was lost for words.
One thing was clear, these guys gathered here were all power rangers of some kind. Each from different teams, Some knew each other already as others were strangers among them. Zack hid behind a tall column while they each introduced themselves and discussed their concerns. He did not belong here and feared what they'd do to him if they knew he wasn't even a power ranger. It seemed like they were good though, like they wouldn't harm him or anything. As he listened to the others speak he noticed two rangers stand out as the ones in charge, That young boy Cole and a blind girl who spoke previously, Quinn. They both seemed to have leadership qualities and remained calm under pressure. Zack revealed himself slowly making his way past the others, Since it was Cole that stated the rangers on his team used the power coins he presented him with the former yellow ranger's coin.. "Excuse me, sir... I'm sorry I couldn't stop them.. there were so many.. She.. the yellow ranger she was taken by them. She burred her coin and morpher but I knew they'd be back to search for it.. So I took it. I took it and ran. Then I was teleported here... Im not a ranger sir, though I come from them. Maybe that's why they made the mistake. My Parent's were rangers and I know what it means to wield the power of one. She gave it her all but …. but it wasn't enough." He informed Cole and the rest of his friends as he presented him with her coin. He tried to wipe the tears in his eyes and hide the pain in his voice but both seemed to be harder to hide then he'd like.
